Nabou is a unisex clothing brand for men and women, specializing in the creation of denim jackets. Each jacket is designed, cut, and made in small batches in our Parisian workshop using existing denim fabrics.

Cuts designed for every body shape

Nabou jackets are unisex, designed to be worn by different body types regardless of gender. Depending on the size chosen, the same jacket may have a more fitted or more relaxed cut.

The same styles are therefore offered to everyone, so that anyone can borrow them and freely incorporate them into their wardrobe.

Jackets made in France, in our workshop in Paris

All Nabou jackets are designed and made in France, in our workshop in Paris. From cutting the various pieces and assembling the garment to composing the patchwork patterns, fitting the lining and adding the finishing touches, every stage of production is carried out by hand on a small scale.

This local production allows us to stay close to the creative process and oversee every stage of making our products.

Denim at the Heart of Nabou’s Collections

Nabou is a brand specializing in denim, a fabric renowned for its durability and its ability to stand the test of time. This fabric is particularly well suited to making jackets, outerwear exposed to movement, friction and the repeated motions of everyday life.

Thanks to denim’s durability, Nabou jackets will be with you for years—and, to top it all off, they get better with age: over time, the denim softens and develops a patina, giving each jacket a unique look. Designed for everyday wear, Nabou jackets evolve with the person wearing them.

Contemporary jackets inspired by traditional Chinese attire

The cuts of Nabou pieces draw on certain elements of Chinese clothing, echoing the Chinese heritage of Hélène, the brand’s creator.

The rounded stand-up collar on the jacket styles evokes the Mao collar (or mandarin collar), while the extended shoulder lines, roomy sleeves, and pockets incorporate details from traditional Chinese clothing, particularly the Tangzhuang jacket and Shanghai blue.

These influences are reinterpreted to create unisex jackets that are both structured and comfortable, designed to be worn by both men and women.
